YOU WILL
Be part of the Finance department, who consists of 25 employees and part of a professional team of 11 project controllers, who support project management in our program departments. This means you will be close to the core business of Save the children Denmark, namely contributing to the value and difference we do for children every day.
You will be responsible for a number of projects and tasks amongst others:
Assist with budget preparation, ensuring quality assurance for project applications.
Advise team leads and project coordinators on finance related donor requirements by interpreting grant letters and donor guidelines.
Continuously monitor adherence to donor requirements in financial and compliance matters.
Manage and update the financial aspects of projects within our systems.
Prepare financial reporting and final accounts for donors, ensuring audits are carried out when required.
Work on digitization and optimization of project finance related processes.
Ensure coordination of tasks with the other project controllers and management.
YOUR PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL PROFILE
We expect you to hold a University degree in Accounting, Finance or the like. Above all you have an excellent understanding of project finance and accounting principles. You have the ability to interpret finance related donor-based contracts and guidelines. You have a minimum of 3 years of experience from similar organizations and you have proven experience in managing financial project cycles and working in ERP system (Agresso is an advantage). You have at least 3 years of experience in working with institutional donors and contributing to project audits.
In addition to this you are:
Proficient in both English and Danish, written and spoken.
Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
